BDI tracked 135 signals across 16 industries in March — and the data tells a split-screen story. Black-led initiatives and targeted corporate investments are actively building economic leverage, expanding ownership, and creating income pathways. At the same time, federal policy moved in the opposite direction. 98.5% of this month’s signals registered at structural depth or higher — meaning the shifts on both sides aren’t symbolic. They’re reshaping the systems Black communities move through.
